Seema Bibi Needs Surgery to Overcome Uterine Fibroids

Seema Bibi's Story
Seema Bibi, a 45-year-old woman from Lahore, is struggling with heavy menstrual bleeding and lower abdominal pain. What started as occasional discomfort has now become a constant source of suffering. Her days are filled with fatigue and weakness, making it difficult for her to take care of her home and family. Concerned about her worsening condition, her family took her to a nearby hospital. After several tests and an ultrasound scan, the doctor diagnosed her with Uterine Fibroids, a condition where noncancerous growths develop in the uterus. To improve her health and prevent further complications, the doctor advised her to undergo a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy.
Without this surgery, Seema’s condition can become even more serious. It may lead to increased bleeding, severe anemia, and more complications like cancer that would further risk her life.
Seema’s life is centered around her family. As a housewife, she has always dedicated herself to raising her six children and managing household chores. Her husband works hard as a laborer, and their son works in a garment factory. Together, they bring in a combined income of PKR 65,000 each month. However, this amount is quickly spent on meeting the basic needs of their large family.
They live in a modest house with seven family members. Their monthly utility bills are around PKR 8,000, and educational costs for their children amount to PKR 1,000. With so many mouths to feed and daily costs to manage, affording Seema’s much-needed surgery is beyond their reach. Seema expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:
“This illness has badly affected my ability to perform daily tasks. I just wish to be healthy again so I can look after my family like before. We don’t have enough money to pay for this surgery. I need your help so that I can have an improved quality of life.”
Your support can give her a chance to recover and continue being there for her children. Join hands with us and bring hope and health back to Seema’s life.
