Free Medical Camp in Kotri: 710 Patients Receive Essential Healthcare Services
Transparent Hands, with the collaboration of Rafhan Maize, recently arranged a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide essential medical support to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held at Govt. Boys Primary School, Nango Lane, Kotri, District Jamshoro on 26th October 2024.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests
A total of 710 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Medicines, blood pressure check-ups, diabetes tests, uric acid tests, and hepatitis B & C screenings were provided free of cost. Preventive Healthcare Session
At the free medical camp in Kotri, our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees. The session focused on personal hygiene. The doctors discussed how the lack of personal hygiene can cause numerous health problems and the ways to improve personal hygiene.
Diseases and Treatments
Most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from skin allergies, fever, diabetes, body pains, hypertension, gastric problems, cough, flu, and weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients. Around 3% of the tested patients had hepatitis C and 2% had hepatitis B.
Impact
The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 710 deserving patients and their families. The residents of Kotri often suffer due to treatable diseases. This free medical camp was arranged to cater to the health needs of the underprivileged communities and they received free consultations, diagnostic tests, medicines, and treatments.
Moreover, the preventive healthcare session educated the individuals about personal hygiene and how maintaining cleanliness can protect a person from various illnesses. The goal of this camp was to promote awareness as well as equip them with essential medical services.
