Transparent Hands is going to arrange a free medical camp in Quetta to address the healthcare needs of its residents. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to extend medical support to those people who can’t afford timely medical interventions. Quetta is among the areas where many needy individuals await treatments for their treatable diseases. Through this free medical camp, we will provide various health services ranging from consultations to lab tests and medicines.

Challenges:

Located in northern Balochistan, Quetta faces significant challenges when it comes to providing necessary and quality healthcare services to the needy. Financial constraints prevent many people from receiving medical care, leading to untreated illnesses and worsening health outcomes.

According to a study, 44% of the city’s residents are suffering due to diarrhea, 25% by other gastrointestinal issues, and 21% by cholera. Moreover, typhoid and malaria are also common.

Solution:

To uplift low-income communities in Quetta, we are going to organize a free medical camp. Their health issues will be addressed and they will get a comprehensive range of medical services. Doctors will screen for common diseases and provide the necessary treatments at no cost. Overall, this camp will make a significant difference in the lives of many needy patients. Our highly qualified medical team of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, volunteers, and lab technicians will offer the following free medical services:

· General Check-Ups
· Gynecology Check-Ups
· Blood Pressure Check-Ups
· Hepatitis B & C Screenings
· Uric Acid Tests
· Cholesterol Tests
· BSR (Blood Sugar) Tests
· Preventive Healthcare Session
· Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered

Preventive Healthcare Session:
At our upcoming free medical camp, a preventive healthcare session will also be arranged to raise awareness and provide knowledge regarding the risk factors and management of one of the common health issues in Quetta.
By addressing both the immediate and long-term healthcare needs of the community, this free medical camp will improve health outcomes and empower Quetta’s residents to take control of their health.

Diseases and Treatments

At the free medical camp in Quetta, most of the patients who received consultations were suffering from flu, skin allergies, scabies, fever, diabetes, body pains, cough, and stomach issues. Moreover, free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients.

Preventive Healthcare Session

Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of scabies.

Impact

The free medical camp made a difference in the lives of 572 deserving patients and their families. Limited health facilities and overwhelmed public hospitals prevent many individuals from seeking timely medical care in Quetta. This medical camp helped in identifying and treating medical conditions which contributed to reducing health-related complications. Patients received free consultations, lab tests, screenings, and medicines, improving their health outcomes.

Moreover, health education was lacking in the city which led to a decline in health standards. Our preventive healthcare session provided valuable insights and empowered residents to adopt preventive measures for a healthy life.

We are incredibly grateful to you for supporting us in organizing this medical camp. You truly helped us in extending much-needed medical support to deserving patients in Quetta.

The medical camp team consisted of 15 members, including two supervisors, 3 doctors (two males and one female), 2 lab technicians, 2 pharmacists, 4 patient registrars, 1 photographer, and 1 driver.
