Empower Mothers and Children with Free Medical Care in Karachi

Empower Mothers and Children with Free Medical Care in Karachi
Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp focused on maternal and child healthcare in Karachi. Despite being one of the major cities of Pakistan, Karachi’s low-income communities struggle to access essential healthcare services. Through this initiative, we aim to provide free pediatric and gynecological consultations, lab tests, ultrasound scans, nutritional screenings, and essential medicines to deserving mothers and children. This effort also contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), which focuses on promoting good health and well-being for all.
Challenges
Financial hardships, overcrowded public hospitals, expensive treatments, and limited awareness create various challenges for mothers and children in Karachi. Women face poor maternal health, and children often suffer from malnutrition. The lack of accessible medical guidance leaves many vulnerable to avoidable health complications.
According to a UNICEF report, Sindh faces high rates of malnutrition, with stunting at 49.9% and wasting at 16.1%.
Solution
To address these health concerns, Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including a gynecologist, pediatrician, and nutritionist. This camp will provide mothers and children with access to quality medical services. Early diagnosis and preventive healthcare services will empower families to prioritize their well-being. The following services will be provided completely free of charge:
-Consultations with a Pediatrician
-Gynecological check-ups for women
-Blood Pressure check-ups
-Nutritional screenings for children
-BMI calculation
-Blood sugar tests
-CBC
-Ultrasound scans
-Preventive Healthcare Session
-Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered
Preventive Healthcare Session
A preventive healthcare session will be conducted to raise awareness about:
-Infertility
-Postnatal Nutrition & Breastfeeding
This session will be led by a qualified medical professional and is designed to equip women with practical knowledge that they can apply in their daily lives.
Your contributions can provide relief and hope to mothers and children who have nowhere else to turn. Donate now and help us improve the health and well-being of underprivileged communities in Karachi.
