Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp on 12th July, 2019 at Gopal Nagar, Lahore with the collaboration of Atlas Copco Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.

During the camp in Gopal Nagar Lahore, a team of highly qualified doctors and trained medical staff did check-ups of more than 400 patients and they are also provided with the prescribed medicines. A free diagnostic test facility was also provided which included; Blood Pressure Test, Diabetes Test, Hepatitis B & C Screening Test, and Ultrasound. In the camp, 65 patients were tested for Hepatitis infection based on their symptoms. Among them, 8 cases were found HCV positive. One gallstone patient was identified in the camp, who was pre-registered with Transparent Hands for free surgical treatment.

“Transparent Hands has been serving the most vulnerable people since 2014 and I hope that we’ll continue helping people through the best utilization of our resources. I want to thank Atlas Copco who have supported us in organizing this medical camp and we look forward to conducting many more camps with them”, said Ms. Rameeza Mueen, CEO Transparent Hands.

Due to increasing heat in Lahore, many patients in the camp were suffering from dehydration, skin infections and gastroenteritis. A few complained about abdominal pain along with nausea and vomiting. The main cause of all these diseases was poor hygiene and malnutrition.

At the camp, Mr. Ahsan Fayyaz – Human Resource Business Partner of Atlas Copco said, “we are organizing medical camps with the help of Transparent Hands in far-flung areas where the people are deprived of medical facilities. Such camps are necessary to cater to their basic healthcare needs”.

Transparent Hands team comprising of 15 members managed this medical camp successfully. Team included 3 doctors, 2 pharmacists/dispensers, 3 phlebotomists, 1 supervisor, 1 photographer, 3 patient registration persons and 2 helpers.

The locals in the camp thanked Transparent Hands and Atlas Copco and lauded the efforts and dedication of their paramedical staff and doctors.
