Adeena Zahir's Story
Adeena Zahir awaits Cochlear Implant. Adeena Zahir is a beautiful child but her smile is wiped off due to her disability. You can help Adeena Zahir regain her smile by donating for her cochlear implant. No matter how little your donation is, it can help an innocent soul.
Adeena Zahir, aged 5 years, a resident of Dheer, has been suffering from hearing loss since her birth. Her parents came to know about her disability after one year of her birth. Then her parents took her to the hospital. After several tests, the doctor diagnosed her with sensorineural hearing loss. The doctor advised her to get a cochlear implant. Now, cochlear implant surgery is the only option for a permanent cure. A cochlear implant is a surgically implanted neuroprosthetic device that will give Adeena a modified sense of sound.
Unfortunately, Adeena’s father cannot pay for her surgery. Her father is the sole earner of the family. They live in a rented house. One of her brothers is differently abled and he has different needs that need to be taken care of. With a mere income of PKR. 30,000, Adeena’s father is unable to afford her surgery. Adeena’s father told us:
“It is a wish of mine to see my girl respond to my voice. I often call her but she does not respond to my voice. This pains my heart. She has not even listened to most of the sounds of this world. I wish that she could.”
Adeena Zahir awaits Cochlear Implant. After a lot of distress, Adeena’s parents have registered her case with Transparent Hands. We wish to acquaint her with the world of sound as soon as possible. But, we need your help with that. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for Adeena’s cochlear implant and help her unlock the world of sound.
