Adil Rehman Awaits Open-Heart Surgery
Adil Rehman's Story
Adil Rehman, an innocent one-year-old little boy from Jhang, has been experiencing breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. Simple activities, like feeding or crying, leave him gasping for air, and his skin often turns blue. As he grew, his symptoms became more severe, which led his parents to consult a doctor.
After a thorough examination and evaluation, the doctor diagnosed him with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex heart defect characterized by four heart abnormalities and a Double Outlet Right Ventricle(DORV). To repair the defects in his heart, the doctor recommended open-heart surgery for total correction. However, Adil’s family is unable to afford the costly surgery.
The doctors made it clear that without the surgical intervention, Adil’s life would be at risk. If he doesn’t get the surgery soon, he will not be able to beat the disease and may lose his life. Adil lives in a modest rented house with his parents. His father, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 20,000 per month. With this insufficient monthly income, he pays PKR 3000 in house rent, and PKR 1000 for utility bills, and hardly manages other living expenses. Making matters worse, the family is burdened with a loan of PKR 100,000, leaving no room for savings to pay for the surgery. During this challenging time, Adil’s family reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us for help.
Adil’s parents expressed their plea as follows:
“Our son needs open-heart surgery and we are running out of time. We are heartbroken when we see his suffering, but we can’t afford the procedure. We need your help to save his life. Please contribute for Adil’s surgery.”
This procedure is crucial for Adil, as it will allow him to live a healthy life filled with cherished moments that other children take for granted. He is struggling to survive and his heart condition can turn into a potentially complicated one.
We ask you to come forward and help Adil. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful difference in his life. Let’s join hands to heal Adil’s heart.
