Muhammad Ali's Story
Before you dwell on to read the painful details of Muhammad Ali’s story, please know that your small contribution made to Ali’s cause will open up a whole new world and opportunities for him. Ali requires a cochlear implant. Therefore, we would request you to kindly donate as much as you can. Every single penny donated is much appreciated.
Muhammad Ali, aged five, a resident of Khanewal has not been able to live his early childhood to the fullest like other children. He suffers from Congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss. Ali would often fall sick due to recurrent high fever and later he developed an ear infection. His parents noticed that he was not responding to sounds. His parents took him to the nearby hospital. Ali underwent a number of hearing tests and after the doctor evaluated the reports he was diagnosed with Sensorineural Hearing Loss. After the diagnosis, the doctors advised Ali’s parents to get him a Cochlear Implant. A cochlear implant receives sound from the outside environment, processes it, and sends small electric currents near the auditory nerve. These electric currents activate the nerve, which then sends a signal to the brain. The brain learns to recognize this signal and the person experiences this as “hearing”.
Muhammad Ali’s father works as a laborer and that is the only source of their income. He is the sole earner in the family and has four people to feed and raise. They rely on him for their basic needs. With minimal income, and no financial support , the hefty cost of this procedure is beyond their affordability.
Ali’s father shared his ordeal with Transparent Hands in the following manner:
“Being a laborer and having an income so low, I was hopeless and helpless about how to get my son’s procedure done. Every parent wishes to do things beyond their affordability for their children but this is something I knew I would never be able to do on my own. Thanks to Transparent Hands for registering my son’s case.”
Ali’s father found out about Transparent Hands through a friend. He contacted us. Transparent Hands verified and registered Ali’s case.
Now, Transparent Hands has registered Muhammad Ali’s case, we are dedicated to help him and bring a whole new sense of sound in his life. But, this is not going to be possible without your donations. Ali requires Cochlear Implant as soon as possible for him to learn fast and not miss out on his childhood. Therefore, please donate generously.
