Bashir Ahmed's Story
Before you dive into the story, we want to let you know that Bashir Ahmed is in a lot of pain right now. His financial situation is the only hurdle standing between him and the treatment he needs. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for Bashir’s knee replacement.
For the last four years, Bashir Ahmed has been suffering from Osteoarthritis involving both knees. Osteoarthritis is a condition that causes the cartilage in the knee joint to thin out. In consequence, the surfaces of the joint become roughened, thus creating friction. As a result, the movement becomes painful, and the joint becomes stiff. The pain has become unbearable for him.
To treat this, the orthopedic surgeon has advised Bashir Ahmed to undergo a total knee replacement surgery. It is a surgical procedure to replace the weight-bearing surfaces of the knee joint to relieve pain and disability. At first, the orthopedic will perform this surgery on the left side. Later, after his left leg recovers, it will be performed on his right side. While the knee replacement seems like an easy solution to all of Bashir’s problems, it is certainly not an accessible solution. Bashir Ahmed cannot afford the hefty cost of this surgery. Due to his withering age, he has been out of work for many years now. He told us:
“It has been many years since my knees started to wither. Now, I cannot even stand up on my two feet. Whoever is reading this, I request you to please donate for my surgery.”
After a lot of distress, Bashir Ahmed has requested Transparent Hands for help. We have assured him that we would arrange his surgery as soon as possible. Now, all we need is your help. Donate for Bashir’s knee replacement as much as you can.
