Donate for Danish’s Cochlear Implant Surgery
Muhammad Danish 's Story
Danish is an innocent child who needs cochlear implant surgery to make a life-changing difference. He will be unable to learn and communicate effectively without the surgery, and he will be deprived of the many benefits that come from being able to hear his surroundings. The silence has devastated his family. We urge you to donate for Danish’s cochlear implant surgery to give him an opportunity to function well in life.
Four-year-old Danish, a resident of Mardan, has been suffering from congenital sensorineural hearing loss. His parents first noticed something was wrong when he was one year old and wasn’t responding to their voices. His parents took him to the local hospital, where his tests were done. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with sensorineural deafness. The doctor advised him to undergo cochlear implant surgery. A cochlear implant is a small electronic device that electrically stimulates the cochlear nerve (the nerve for hearing). The implant has external and internal parts. The external part is fixed behind the ear. It uses a microphone to process the sounds and then sends them to the implant inside the body.
He lives with his parents and one sibling. His father is the only breadwinner in the family and earns PKR 20,000 per month. Unfortunately, he cannot afford the surgical expenses and is in desperate need of help. Although his limited income cannot cover the cost of the procedure, he doesn’t want to leave Danish trapped in a silent world. His father said in distress:
” My main concern is that he will miss out on many opportunities in life because I was unable to save up enough money for his cochlear implant surgery. I request that you come forward and donate today.”
Someone told his parents about Transparent Hands and the causes we champion, and they reached out to us for help. Now, all that is required of you is a small donation so that we can provide Danish with a cochlear implant. We request that you donate for Danish’s cochlear implant surgery and allow him to live his life to the fullest.
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
