Meerab Zaidi's Story
Before you dive into the story, we want to let you know that six years old Meerab Zaidi is in a state of uncertainty and distress. Your donations can get her the help that would relieve her of these worries. Therefore, we urge you to please donate for Meerab’s angiography.
Ever since she was born, six years old Meerab Zaidi suffered from breathlessness and palpitations in brief episodes. Meerab’s parents took her to the hospital where she underwent an ECG and other diagnostic tests. As per the results, the cardiologist diagnosed Meerab with VSD and Truncus Arteriosus.
To further verify the diagnosis, the cardiologist advised her to undergo a diagnostic angiography to make a decision for the next step of management. Angiography is a diagnostic test that uses x-rays to take pictures of your heart blood vessels. In this procedure, a long flexible catheter is inserted through the bloodstream to deliver dye into the arteries making them visible on the x-ray.
Unfortunately, this procedure is beyond their access. Meerab Zaidi’s father works as a salesman. His monthly income is PKR 25000. Amid the rising inflation, rents and pandemic induced job insecurity, he is under immense stress. Therefore, he is in no position to arrange for his daughter’s cardiac procedures. Meerab’s distressed mother told us:
“When my daughter failed to thrive as a baby, I did not worry that much. But now, when I see her, it scares me. What will become of my beloved child if he does not get the treatment she needs?”
After a lot of distress, Meerab’s father has registered their case with Transparent Hands. We hope that with your kind donations, we will arrange her diagnostic angiography for free. Thus, we request you to please donate for Meerab’s angiography as much as you can.
