Misbah is a 10 years old beautiful girl who lives in a rural area of Lahore with her parents and elder brother. Misbah’s father couldn’t afford the rent of his house so they had to move to his father in law’s home where they all are living in one room. Misbah loves going to school but due to her heart disease, she is bed ridden most of the times.

Misbah is a born patient of Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) which includes four heart defects; Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Overriding Aorta, Pulmonary Stenosis and Right Ventricular Hypertrophy. 

Misbah’s parents have been taking her to various doctors since her birth in hope of permanent relief for their daughter but all went in vain. Doctor advised her to undergo major cardiac surgery as this is the only solution for her relief but her parents cannot afford the surgical expenses. They went to many NGOs and hospitals but nobody offered them free treatment or medication let alone surgical treatment.

Misbah’s condition has deteriorated with the passage of time. This poor girl cannot even walk as she gets extremely tired and unconscious. She cannot even go out in heat otherwise her heart starts beating faster making her skin turn blue. In such critical condition, Misbah is unable to do anything or even play with other kids. Her father is a daily wager and hardly earns around 300 rupees a day. Misbah’s mother works as a maid and earns only 5,000 rupees a month but these days she is unable to work because of Misbah’s condition. Misbah needs her mother’s attention all the time.

This family luckily found about Transparent Hands and now Misbah is scheduled for Cardiac Surgery in a couple of days. This girl has been through a lot since she was born. Only you can ease her misery by funding for her corrective heart surgery.
