Mohammad Akram's Story

Mohammad Akram is a 52 years old man who lives in a slum area of Khanewal with his wife and 3 children. His three older daughters are married and are living separately with their families. Akram has to struggle hard to pay for his household expenses. He runs a small ride for kids in a rural area and hardly earns around 300 to 400 rupees a day. In such meager income, he has to meet the needs of all his family members who are completely dependent on him. Due to limited finance, he is also not able to send his children to school.

Around one and half years ago, Akram was diagnosed with hernia. He ignored the disease as he didn’t have any money to pay for his treatment. Since last two to three months, his pain became worse making him unable to go for work. He went to government hospital for treatment but didn’t get any relief from there. Doctor advised him to undergo surgery to treat his hernia but Akram don’t have enough resources to pay for the surgical expenses. He cannot even afford to buy medicines for him let alone surgical treatment. He is suffering from various symptoms including sever pain and discomfort, pressure in abdomen and aching sensation.

Luckily, this family got to know about Transparent Hands through someone. Mohammad Akram is now scheduled to undergo surgery in a few days at Abid Hospital in Mian Channu. His surgery will only be possible with your kind support. We request you to please donate for his surgery as much as you can so that he can be cured and get back to work.
