Muhammad Boota is a 60 years old man who lives in a rural town of Lahore with his 5 sons. Two of his sons are working hard and taking care of whole family. They are doing labor job and hardly earning around 20,000 rupees a month. His other son is learning to work whereas other two boys go to school. Muhammad Boota’s wife died 2 years ago due to poor health condition. His 4 daughters and one son are married and living separately with their own families.
Muhammad Boota has been suffering his whole life because of his health. In 1965 during war, his left thumb was badly injured and it had to be removed. After some time due to infection, his other fingers got affected and they were removed as well. He has been working as a driver his whole life without his left hand fingers. Around 7 months ago while he was driving, he had paralysis attack. It took him almost 4 months to recover and start walking slowly. Just two months ago, he had cardiac arrest and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
He underwent angiography and was diagnosed with Triple Vessel Disease for which he needs to undergo urgent Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery. Muhammad Boota and his family are hardly managing their day to day expenses. The price of the cardiac surgery is outside his family’s financial reach. Muhammad Boota has been experiencing painful symptoms due to which he is unable to work.
When Muhammad Boota and his family learned that he would be able to receive the surgical treatment he needs from Transparent Hands, they were very relieved. Muhammad Boota is excited that now he will have this painful heart problem fixed and he will soon be able to return to work with his sons.
