Muhammad Farhan is a 3.5 years old boy who lives in a small town of Rahim Yar Khan with his parents and 2 elder sisters. This family has been living miserable since a long time. They are deprived from the basic necessities of life including water, electricity and gas. Muhammad Farhan’s father works as a security guard and hardly earns only 12,000 rupees a month which is not enough to meet the basic household expenses. He cannot even afford to send his kids to school. On top of that, he needs to save some money for the medicines of his only son as he is patient of heart disease by birth.

Muhammad Farhan was diagnosed with congenital heart disease just after a few hours of his birth. Initially, he got treatment from the local doctor in Rahim Yar Khan which only gave him temporary relief. They went to another hospital in the city but even after struggling for a few days, they didn’t get the services. Farhan’s father borrowed some money for the CT angiography and ECHO test of his few days old son. Doctor told them that Farhan needs to undergo open heart surgery as this is the only way of his survival otherwise his health would further deteriorate with the passage of time. They took him to various hospitals in hope of free treatment over the period of 3 years but nobody helped them.

This poor family has no means to pay for the surgery cost. Luckily, they found about Transparent Hands and got their son registered here. Farhan is now scheduled for open heart surgery. His struggle didn’t end here. This family needs your support in funding for the heart surgery. Farhan is experiencing painful symptoms including loss of consciousness, difficulty in breathing and fever. His skin turns blue when he cries and whenever he walks or run.

Muhammad Farhan's Story

Muhammad Farhan 3 years old child was suffering from cyanosis since birth and was diagnosed to have congenital cardiac defect involving Pulmonary Atresia and Large Ventricular Septal defect. He was advised surgery to relieve his misery. His open Heart surgery was performed and Left Modified BT shunt was done in Ittefaq Hospital by Dr Salman Ahmed on 29-08-17. He remained admitted for 5 days and recovered performed with significant decrease in his cyanosis.
