Muhammad Younus's Story

“I feel like I’m a burden on my young son. He had to quit his studies to bear our financial responsibilities. I need your help to be able to earn for my family once again.” – Muhammad Younus

Muhammad Younus, aged 58, suffered an accident and was rushed to the local hospital. He appeared to be alright as there were no external injuries; the hospital discharged him after some time.

However, a few days later, he got a severe infection in his left leg, causing the skin to turn black and swell noticeably. He lost consciousness and was immediately taken to a private hospital. The infection worsened so much that his left leg had to be amputated. His amputation was done with money arranged by relatives.

Younus is a mechanic by profession, but had to quit work after his amputation. He has three sons. The eldest son was a student of intermediate level but had to quit school to earn for the family. Now he is working as a salesman, earning 12,000 PKR per month. They lived in a rented house, but now Younus’s brother has temporarily provided them his house to ease their financial burden.

Younus needs an artificial leg. This time, however, the relatives are unable to give financial help and his son cannot afford the expenses of prosthetic leg.

At last, Younus came to know about Transparent Hands and requested for free prosthesis.

Younus is scheduled to get his artificial leg at Hope Rehabilitation Center, through Transparent Hands. Come forward and donate for him. Our contribution will be a huge blessing for Younus and his family.
