Bushra Manzoor's Story
“Since my mother passed away, my father is all I have, and I am all he has. It’s just the two of us now. I need to be healthy in order to take care of him. With help from Transparent Hands, I will be healthy in no time.” -Bushra Manzoor
Bushra Manzoor, 42 years of age, has been experiencing pain in her right hypochondriac area along with abdominal stretch and vomiting for the last six months. She has been diagnosed with stones in the gallbladder – cholelithiasis and the doctors have advised surgery to remove the gallbladder commonly known as a cholecystectomy for permanent relief from the pain. Her condition has especially aggravated in the last three months but despite being in intense pain, she does not have the option of having surgery due to financial limitations. She visited many government hospitals but was denied help every time.
Due to her multiple visits at hospitals she was lucky enough to find out about Transparent Hands and contacted them immediately. Her case has been registered for the free surgical procedure with the help of our organization.
Bushra has experienced an unfortunate series of events since she was young. After being married for only four years, her husband decided to divorce her. This was twenty years ago and since then she has been living with her parents. Her mother passed away seven years back, so her father is all she has now. Her father is a retired schoolteacher and gets a pension of PKR 15000 a month. They survive on the bare minimum and live in an 8 marla house which was given to her father by his parents.
In a few weeks’ time, we hope to see her healthy. If you would like to contribute towards getting Bushra Manzoor back to good health, please don’t hesitate to donate to her campaign today!
