Zain Ali is a 9 years old boy who studies in grade one. When Zain was 7 years old, he started experiencing painful symptoms including chest blockage, coughing and difficulty in breathing. His parents took him to a local hospital in Lahore where he was diagnosed with Large Subaortic VSD (hole in his heart).

Doctor advised his parents that Zain needs to undergo Open Heart Surgery to correct the defect otherwise his health is at risk. His father requested hospital for his free surgical treatment but due to a large number of children already waiting, they are unable to register Zain for urgent surgery. Zain’s father doesn’t have enough money to get him operated from a private hospital. He works as a daily wage laborer and earns around 12,000 rupees a month. They all live in somebody’s house where Zain’s mother works as a maid. It’s impossible for them to pay for their son’s surgical expenses. Luckily, somebody told them about Transparent Hands and they came here immediately.

Zain is now scheduled for his Open Heart Surgery in a few days at Ittefaq Hospital. His struggles don’t end here. He needs your support in funding his surgery. Zain Ali's Story

Zain Ali 9 years old boy was experiencing shortness of breath and repeated chest infections. He was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) for which he was advised open heart surgery to close the defect. His surgery was done in Ittefaq Hospital on 29-09-18 by Dr Salman A Shah. He had good post op recovery and remained admitted in hospital for 4 days. He was discharged in good health.
