Ease Hajra Bibi’s Pain With Cholecystectomy
Hajra Bibi's Story
Meet Hajra Bibi, a 36-year-old woman from Karachi, who has been experiencing right upper abdomen pain for four years. She was receiving symptomatic treatment but didn’t get relief. Over time, Hajra’s condition became worse. Now she experiences frequent nausea, vomiting, and alarming episodes of abdominal pain. These symptoms have made everyday tasks challenging, preventing her from taking care of her five children and managing her household chores. Upon consultation with a doctor, she was diagnosed with cholelithiasis/gallstones – a painful condition caused by hard deposits formed in the gallbladder. The doctor has advised Cholecystectomy to remove the gallstones and bring her relief.
However, Hajra’s financial condition doesn’t allow them to pay for this necessary surgery. Hajra lives in a two-room rented brick house with her husband and five children. Her husband is a daily wage laborer and makes just PKR 26000 monthly. With five children to support, the costs of medical bills, monthly utility bills of PKR 3000, educational expenses of PKR 1500 and house rent of PKR 5000, they are struggling financially.
In their search for help, her family found Transparent Hands and contacted us to register her case.
Hajra expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:
“The intense pain has taken away my ability to take care of my children. I want to live without this pain and discomfort. My husband works to the point of exhaustion but his income only covers our basic needs. I need your help to get rid of this pain. Kindly help me.”
Let’s unite to change Hajra’s life. By contributing, you are not just funding a surgery but also giving Hajra a chance to reclaim her life and her role as a mother.
