Abeeha Noor, a 1-year-old girl from Sheikhupura, has been suffering from shortness of breath and chest discomfort since the earliest days of her life. While other children of her age are learning to crawl, play, and explore, Abeeha often struggles with every breath. Her growth is not keeping up with normal developmental milestones. Recently, her parents took her for a detailed medical evaluation. After running some tests, the doctor diagnosed Abeeha with Supracardiac Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Connection (SC TAPVC) and a small Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). These heart defects prevent normal blood flow from the lungs to the heart, depriving her tiny body of much-needed oxygen. The doctor has strongly recommended TAPVC Repair surgery as a life-saving intervention.

If left untreated, Abeeha’s condition will lead to worsening oxygen deprivation, lung infections, irreversible heart damage, and possibly life-threatening complications. This surgery is needed to restore normal heart function and give Abeeha a chance to grow and live like a healthy child.

Abeeha lives in a modest home in Sheikhupura with her parents and three siblings. Her father drives a rickshaw, earning PKR 30,000 per month, which barely covers the family’s essential needs. Their monthly utility bills amount to PKR 2,000, and educational expenses for the children are around PKR 8,000. With six mouths to feed and a limited income, the family simply cannot afford the high cost of their daughter’s surgery. With tear-filled eyes, Abeeha’s father said:

“Watching Abeeha struggle with every breath breaks our hearts. We dream of seeing her grow strong and happy, but this illness stands in the way. I’m just a rickshaw driver, and I don’t have the means to afford this surgery. Please help us save Abeeha’s life.”
