Ensure Sarfraz’s Survival With Heart Surgery

Muhammad Sarfraz's Story
Muhammad Sarfraz, a 45-year-old man from Sargodha, is struggling with persistent shortness of breath and chest pain. Every breath feels like a struggle and simple tasks such as walking or even standing leave him exhausted. He received medical attention at a nearby hospital, where diagnostic tests and evaluations revealed a severe case of Mitral Stenosis. It is a condition where the mitral valve of the heart becomes narrow and restricts blood flow. The doctor recommended a Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) surgery as the only option to improve his condition and provide relief. Unfortunately, Sarfraz is unable to afford the costly surgery due to his financial situation.
If left untreated, Sarfraz’s condition may lead to life-threatening complications such as heart failure, stroke, or arrhythmias. Without the surgery, Sarfraz’s quality of life will continue to decline, leading to a future filled with more suffering and uncertainty.
Sarfraz lives in a modest rental house with his wife and five children. Due to his health condition, he is unable to work. Sarfraz relies on his son who is a laborer, earning only PKR 30,000 per month. The family faces financial hardships and they struggle to meet basic expenses. Their monthly house rent is PKR 15,000, educational expenses amount to PKR 3000, and utility bills add another PKR 2000, leaving little room for medical expenses. With hope in his heart, Sarfraz contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
With tears in his eyes, Sarfraz said:
“I just want to live and be there for my family. I’m unable to work, and my son is doing all he can to support us. But we can’t afford the surgery. I need your help, so I can live a healthy life again.”
Your generosity can give Sarfraz a chance to have a healthy future, allowing him to breathe freely and live without the constant fear of his heart condition. Come forward and support Sarfraz during his time of need. Your contributions will enable him to regain health and strength.

Muhammad Sarfraz's Story
Muhammad Sarfraz, a 45-year-old man from Sargodha, was experiencing immense complications due to heart disease. Persistent shortness of breath and chest pain had taken over his life. Simple activities like walking a few steps or even standing for a short time left him gasping for air. Concerned about his deteriorating health, his family took him to a nearby hospital for evaluation. After a series of diagnostic tests, the doctors diagnosed him with severe Mitral Stenosis. The only recommended solution for Sarfraz’s condition was a Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR). However, the cost of the surgery was far beyond Sarfraz’s financial capacity.
Sarfraz lived in a modest rented house with his wife and five children. His poor health had left him unable to work and provide for his family. The burden of supporting the entire household fell on his son. He earned just PKR 30,000 per month as a laborer. After paying for rent, utilities, groceries, and the educational expenses of his siblings, little remains for medical procedure. The family was trapped in a difficult situation, watching Sarfraz’s health decline with no way to afford the surgery that could save him. During their time of despair, they turned to Transparent Hands for help. Moved by their situation, Transparent Hands swiftly registered Sarfraz’s case.
With the support of generous donors, Sarfraz was admitted to Evercare Hospital, Lahore, on March 25, 2025. On March 26, 2025, Dr. Ajmal Naqvi successfully performed the Mitral Valve Replacement surgery. After a few days of close postoperative care and recovery, Sarfraz was discharged in stable condition on March 30, 2025.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, Sarfraz and his family shared:
“We were losing hope with each passing day, but your support became our lifeline. You have given me a second chance at life. Thank you for standing by us in our most difficult time. We will forever remember your kindness.”
Your generosity has given Sarfraz a healthier future and a new spirit to live. This change in his life couldn’t have been possible without your generous support.
His family extend their deepest gratitude to you and the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation for making a significant difference in Sarfraz’s life.
