Alishba Bibi's Story

Alishba Bibi, a 20-year-old resident of Karachi, is excited for the arrival of her second child. But her happiness is hurdled by the debt that hovers over her family. At thirty-plus weeks into her pregnancy, Alishba is facing the possibility of another elective cesarean surgery due to having one C-Section procedure in the past.

She lives in a rented house of one room in Karachi with her husband and one child. Her husband works as a daily wager and earns just PKR 20,000 a month. Her husband has to pay a monthly rent of PKR 4,000 a month and pay PKR 3,000 for utility bills.

“Our financial situation isn’t good. “We’re barely making ends meet,” Alishba added. “The thought of covering the surgery costs for my delivery makes me nervous. I’m concerned about the health of my unborn kid and myself, but the financial strain is a constant cause of stress.”

This is the grim reality for many expecting moms in Pakistan, where access to adequate treatment is frequently limited by financial restrictions. Despite the critical need for medical intervention, families like Alishba’s are unable to afford the expenses involved to access high-quality medical services.

Given the severity of Alishba’s situation, Transparent Hands has registered her case. With your generous support, she may get the essential cesarean procedure and receive the best medical care she urgently needs.

“I am deeply grateful to Transparent Hands for their support,” adds Alishba. “My child and I will get the necessary medical care, thanks to their help, which has given me hope.” I make a plea to the kind-hearted people to support this cause and enable families like mine to get the healthcare they deserve.” No matter how little your contribution, it may have a big impact on Alishba’s life and the lives of many others struggling with financial crises.

Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
