Rehmat Masih's Story

Rehmat Masih, a 75-year-old resident of Lahore, has been diagnosed with a cataract in his right eye, which is adversely affecting his vision and causing him great difficulty in performing day-to-day activities. Recently, he visited a doctor who advised the right Phaco IOL surgery as a required treatment.

He lives in a one-room rented house with his wife and two children and pays PKR 12,000 as monthly rent. Rehmat works in a factory and earns 15,000 rupees per month. His son, who is an auto driver, also earns 15,000 rupees per month

Due to these financial constraints, Rehmat Masih is unable to afford the surgical expenses required for the recommended cataract treatment. His vision impairment has made even the simplest tasks a challenge, and he longs to regain his sight to reconnect with his loved ones and resume his role as a provider for the family.

Rehmat Masih said the following words in a depressed tone:

“The loss of my vision has been a significant burden for both myself and my family. I miss being able to see my wife and children clearly, and it’s painful to struggle with daily tasks. Your donations will allow me to restore my vision and confidence to do daily tasks. Please donate in this time of need so that I may get the required operation and regain my sight.”

Rehmat Masih contacted Transparent Hands to register his case, and we humbly request that caring individuals in our community come forward and help him restore his sight. We kindly request you to consider making a donation to Rehmat Masih’s cause. Your act of kindness can be the beacon that guides him towards a life free from the darkness of cataracts.
