Kawish Bibi's Story

In the heart of Karachi, a young and resilient woman named Kawish finds herself on the precipice of a life-altering moment. At 28 years old and eight months pregnant, she eagerly anticipates the arrival of her first child. Overwhelmed with joy, her anticipation is tinged with the shadow of financial hardship that looms overhead.

Kawish, a housewife, is married to a hardworking laborer whose monthly income barely reaches 22,000 PKR. She lives with her in-laws in a small house. Her husband is the sole earner in the family. They had to face difficulties in managing daily expenses with a total utility bill of PKR 7,000. However, when it comes to the birth of their baby, the cost of necessary C-section surgery becomes an overwhelming hurdle.

Though filled with excitement about becoming a mother for the first time, Kawish cannot ignore the fear and helplessness caused by their financial condition. The joy she feels is clouded by the uncertainty of how they will afford the critical medical procedure.

She said it with a shine in her eyes:

“The thought of holding my little one in my arms bring tears of happiness to my eyes. However, amid this immense happiness, a sense of fear, and helplessness linger in my heart. I humbly reach out to you, kind-hearted souls, for your support and assistance. Your generosity can light the path for my first steps into motherhood, ensuring a safe delivery for my precious child.”

With the power of compassion and generosity, we can rewrite Kawish’s story and ensure a safe delivery for her and her precious baby. Let’s rally together, hand in hand, through Transparent Hands, and bring an end to the fear and helplessness that clouds Kawish’s journey into motherhood. Together, let’s make a lasting impact and give Kawish the gift of a safe and joyous entrance into motherhood.

Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.
