Ghulam Murtaza's Story

It has been 3 months since stones were detected in Ghulam’s gallbladder during his previous checkup. The stones were not very large at the time and Ghulam was suggested a medicine routine and diet to follow in order to break the stones. That method did not prove helpful and Ghulam’s situation got worse when he started showing symptoms of vomiting and extreme pain in the upper abdomen portion of the body. The doctors have advised Ghulam that these stones have now grown quite large and need to be removed immediately by surgery.
Ghulam Murtaza is a 31 year old married mature man, with a 2 year old daughter. He has remained a driver at his previous owner’s household for almost 1.5 years. At that time Ghulam had a suitable salary of 12,000 rupees. However Ghulam found it very difficult to drive when the symptoms of the stones in his gallbladder emerged all of a sudden. Ghulam’s owner had to fire him since he could not drive any longer because of the unbearable pain. Hence Ghulam and his family had to go live with his brother. It has been 3 months now that Ghulam is unable to get any job as a driver. It is very hard for him to make both ends meet under this brutal pain and health. He is willing to earn bread for his family once again, even if it is at the cost of undergoing the excruciating surgery the doctors have suggested for him. Help Ghulam accomplish his goal by donating for his surgery!

Ghulam Murtaza's Story

Ghulam Murtaza was forced to quit working as a driver because of gallbladder stones. He lost his job and apartment and had to leave with his brother. Ghulam and his wife visited Transparent Hands at Zainab Memorial Hospital on 14th August 2014. He was consulted by Dr Shehzad Alam, who suggested laparoscopic surgery to remove the stones. Ghulam’s treatment took place on 19th August and he was discharged the very next day. Transparent Hands visited Ghulam after his surgery for his feedback. “I am very glad to hear that I will be discharged very soon. I want my donors to know that I shall always pray for their success and would support them, like they supported me.”
