Iftikhar Ali's Story
Iftikahr Ali is in immense pain right now. His ailment has restricted his mobility to an extent where he is unable to walk. Your donations, however small or big they may be, can help Iftikhar Ali walk again. Therefore, we request you to please donate for his total knee replacement as much as you can.
For the last three years, fifty-year-old Iftikhar Ali has been suffering from Osteoarthritis involving both knees and hip joint. Osteoarthritis is a condition that causes the cartilage in the knee joint to thin out. As a result, the movement becomes painful, and the joint becomes stiff. Due to this condition, Iftikhar Ali is not able to get up or walk. Moreover, the pain has become unbearable for him.
To treat this condition, the orthopedic surgeon has advised Iftikhar Ali to undergo joint replacement surgery in a stepwise manner. His total knee replacement surgery for his right leg will be done first. It is a surgical procedure to replace the weight-bearing surfaces of the knee joint to relieve pain and disability. Unfortunately, Iftikhar Ali cannot afford to pay for the surgery due to financial constraints. He is financially dependent on his wife who works as a domestic helper and earns just PKR 20,000 per month. She told us:
“My meager salary is hardly enough to pay all the bills. How can I afford my husband’s surgery? Whoever is reading this, please help us.” – Iftikhar’s wife
After a lot of mental and physical anguish, Iftikhar Ali has registered his case with Transparent Hands. We have assured him that we will provide him with the treatment he needs. But, it won’t be possible without your help. Even a small donation can make a lasting impact. Therefore, we request you to donate generously and help Iftikhar Ali walk again.
