Help Samina Bibi Deliver a Healthy Baby
Samina Bibi's Story
Samina Bibi, a 34-year-old resident of Multan, is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second child, but her joy is tinged with trepidation as she faces a complex medical procedure due to her previous cesarean section.
Samina is currently over 28 weeks pregnant, and her obstetrician has recommended an elective cesarean section to ensure a safe delivery for both mother and child. While this surgery is necessary to safeguard Samina’s health, the financial burden it poses is a daunting challenge for her family.
Samina’s husband, who works as a cobbler, earns a meager 10,000 rupees per month, barely enough to cover the basic necessities for their small family of three, including their 1.5-year-old son. They reside in a modest 3 Marla house, and their monthly utility bills alone amount to 2,000 rupees, further straining their limited resources.
Samina’s heart is heavy with the knowledge that the cost of the cesarean section is beyond their means. “I’m scared, not just for myself, but for the well-being of my unborn child,” she confides, her voice trembling with emotion. “I want nothing more than to bring a healthy baby into this world, but the financial burden is overwhelming.”
Samina’s story is a testament to the resilience and determination of mothers who face immense challenges in securing the best care for their families. Despite the odds, her unwavering love for her children and her unwavering faith in the support of her community give her the strength to persevere.

Samina Bibi's Story
Samina Bibi Ashfaq, a 34-year-old woman from Multan, anxiously awaited the arrival of her second child. She had a previous history of one C-section which filled her heart with concerns about the safe delivery of her unborn child. She consulted a doctor, who ran some diagnostic tests and an ultrasound scan and found that Samina had a high-risk pregnancy and needed another C-section. This news left her anxious and uncertain about the future. She wanted nothing more than a safe delivery of her baby, but the overwhelming medical expenses were impossible to bear.
Samina lives in a two-room mud house with her husband and one child. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a cobbler and earns just PKR 10,000 monthly.
