Muhammad Nasrullah 's Story
Nasrullah is suffering from osteoarthritis due to which his work is being adversely affected. He cannot afford to pay for the surgical treatment. Nasrullah awaits Knee Replacement Surgery and he is hoping that generous donors like you will help him.
Nasrullah, a 46-year-old resident of Lahore, has been suffering from leg pain and swelling for the last six years. Upon consultation, the doctor diagnosed him with left knee osteoarthritis, one of the most common forms of arthritis that often affects the knee joints. It causes the cartilage in the knee joint to thin out and the surfaces of the joint to wear off, which means that the knee doesn’t move as smoothly as it should. It might feel painful and stiff. The doctor initially treated him symptomatically, but his left leg pain and swelling worsened over time. His son took him to a local hospital again to consult a doctor, who advised some diagnostic tests. After evaluating his reports, the doctor advised him to undergo left knee replacement surgery. It is a surgical procedure for knees damaged by arthritis. Metal and plastic parts are used to cap the ends of the bones that form the knee joint along with the kneecap.
He lives in a rented house with his five family members. He is the sole earner in the family and earns only PKR 38,000 per month. The lack of money for the surgery stresses his body and mind every day as he wants to support his family. He expressed his distress in the following words:
“With each passing day, the pain and swelling in my left leg become more and more unbearable. I cannot stand or walk for more than five minutes, which is affecting my work too. My family is financially dependent on me. I request you to donate for my knee replacement surgery.”
His case is registered with Transparent Hands now. We are determined to raise funds for his treatment. We urge you to support Nasrullah’s knee replacement surgery to provide him with a pain-free future. Even a small donation can make a big impact. Nasrullah awaits knee replacement surgery to overcome his pain and discomfort.
