Rehmat Ali's Story

70 year old Rehmat Ali has abcess present in his prostate glands. The source of the abcess is not known yet. It has however created a blockage in Rehmat Ali’s bladder for now because of which he cannot urinate. Rehmat has a urine bag attached to his bladder temporarily to avoid any other infection from developing because of the urine blockage and he has to carry it with him where ever he goes. In his recent checkup, he has been advised to undergo TURP (Trans Utheral Resection of Prostate) surgery for now.
Rehmat Ali lives in Qasur, with his five sons, among which four are mature enough to work as laborers whereas the last son is still very young. Rehmat himself is too old to continue laboring any longer. The daily wages earned by the brothers is the source of income for the family. Rehmat cannot continue to have a urine bag constantly attached to his body and the abcess in his bladder was continuously growing. Therefore he came all the way to Lahore for a surgery to remove the abcess. Rehmat’s sons can only arrange to pay 10,000 PKR for the surgery, which is why they need your help. Fund to support Rehmat’s case.

Rehmat Ali's Story

Rehmat Ali, who had abscess in his prostate glands, was successfully treated by Dr.Ijaz Kharal, from Zainab Memorial Hospital, on 26th August 2014. The infected portions of the prostate gland containing abscess were successfully removed by using TURP (Transurethral Resection of Prostate) surgery. Rehmat was very glad to have his urine bag finally removed. “My father is too old to continue work any longer. My brothers and I could not earn enough to pay for his surgery on your own. We are very grateful to the people who gave their donations for my father’s surgery. We would pray for your success.” Rehmat Ali was discharged two days after his surgery.
