Four-year-old Ayesha, a resident of Karak, KPK, has been suffering shortness of birth, cyanosis, and repeated episodes of chest pain. Her physical growth is also slow. Her parents came to know about her condition when she was two years old. They went to the local hospital for a check-up. After running some diagnostic tests and a thorough evaluation, the cardiologist diagnosed her with multiple hearts defects including Dextro-Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Pulmonary Stenosis (PS), and Mitral Valve Prolapse. The cardiac surgeon advised her to undergo Open-heart Surgery after angiography.

She lives with her parents and six siblings. Her father is the sole earner of the family. He works as a security guard and earns PKR 25,000 per month. He has no other source of income. Therefore, he cannot afford to pay for the expensive cardiac surgery. Her father said with teary eyes:

“I am plunged into a world of pain after my daughter’s diagnosis. I feel helpless, and I need your support to arrange money for cardiac surgery as soon as possible.”
