Support Eshaal’s Heart Surgery
Eshaal Bibi's Story
Eshaal, a one-year-old baby girl from Mansehra, has been fighting a heart condition since birth. She experiences shortness of breath, fatigue and poor weight gain. Concerned about her health, her parents took her to a specialist for diagnostic tests and a thorough evaluation. The results revealed a complex diagnosis: Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), and Left Ventricular Volume Overload (LVVO). The doctor recommended VSD closure surgery to correct her heart condition and give her a chance to have a healthy future. However, Eshaal’s family is unable to pay for her life-changing surgery.
Without the surgery, Eshaal’s condition may continue to worsen, leading to severe complications. Her heart’s inability to pump blood effectively may result in increased fatigue, difficulty in breathing, and recurrent lung infections. Over time, these issues will increase, putting her life at serious risk. The surgery is critical to ensuring Eshaal can grow and live a normal and healthy life.
Eshaal lives in her grandmother’s modest home with her parents and three younger siblings. Her father is a private teacher and works hard to support the family, earning a meager income of PKR 30,000 per month. It’s challenging for him to cover the house rent of PKR 15000 and utility bills amounting to PKR 3000. His income barely covers their basic needs, leaving no room for the high cost of Eshaal’s surgery. During this time of need, Eshaal’s parents turned to Transparent Hands, asking for support.
Eshaal’s parents shared their emotions as follows:
“Our little girl is our world. Watching her struggle to breathe and gain weight is stressful for us. Her smile brightens our lives, but her illness casts a shadow over our days. We are desperate to see her healthy and happy. Please help us save her life and give her a chance to grow up like every other child.”

Eshaal Bibi's Story
Eshaal Bibi, a one-year-old baby girl from Mansehra, had been struggling with serious health issues since birth. She faced constant shortness of breath, fatigue, and poor weight gain—symptoms that deeply worried her parents. As the days passed, her condition showed no signs of improvement. Concerned about her well-being, her parents consulted a specialist and proceeded with a series of diagnostic tests. Following a detailed evaluation, the doctor identified Eshaal’s condition as a combination of heart defects: Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), and Left Ventricular Volume Overload (LVVO). Her doctor advised VSD closure surgery to correct the issues and prevent further complications. Unfortunately, the cost of the procedure was far beyond her family’s financial capacity. Eshaal lived with her parents and three younger siblings in her grandmother’s modest house. Her father, a private teacher, worked hard to provide for the family but earned only PKR 30,000 per month. Out of this, PKR 15,000 was spent on house rent and PKR 3000 on utility bills, leaving little for food, healthcare, or other needs. With limited resources and rising expenses, affording a life-saving surgery for their daughter felt impossible. In search of support, the family turned to Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case. On January 28, 2025, Eshaal was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital in Lahore. Dr. Asim successfully performed her VSD closure surgery. After a careful recovery period and close monitoring, Eshaal was discharged in stable condition on February 15, 2025. Through timely intervention and your generous support, Eshaal is now on the path to a healthier life. Her parents shared their gratitude as follows: "Our daughter’s health was rapidly deteriorating, and we had nowhere to turn. Today, she is smiling and full of life again, and it’s all because of your support. Thank you for helping us when we needed it the most." Eshaal’s recovery marks a new beginning for her family. With her heart condition treated, she now has the chance to grow up strong and healthy. Her family is deeply grateful to you and the Pakistan Children's Heart Foundation. Your kindness and generosity saved a life.
