Support Nazish’s C-Section
Nazish Bibi's Story
Meet Nazish, a 30-year-old woman from Karachi, who is expecting her second child. Due to a history of one previous C-section, Nazish is aware of the risks she is facing. Therefore, she decided to consult a gynecologist, who performed an ultrasound scan and some medical tests. The doctor expressed concerns that vaginal delivery may lead to complications and strongly recommended another C-section for childbirth. This news has filled Nazish’s heart with worries as her family is unable to pay for her C-section.
Without a C-section, both Nazish and her baby face may face significant risks, including obstructed labor or uterine rupture.
Nazish lives in a small rented house with her husband and one child. Her husband works as a daily wage laborer and makes just PKR 25000 per month. With this meager monthly income, they barely cover house rent of PKR 8000, utility bills amounting to PKR 7000, and groceries expenses. The cost of the medical bills associated with Nazish’s pregnancy was already overwhelming for her husband. Now, the recommended C-section is an additional financial burden for the family who struggles to make ends meet. During this challenging time, Nazish and her husband reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Nazish’s husband expressed his plea as follows:
“I am worried about my wife and child’s safety. I work hard but the cost of the surgery is out of my reach. I am looking forward to your support to bring my baby safely into this world. Please help us!”

Nazish Bibi's Story
Nazish Waseem, a 30-year-old woman from Karachi, was expecting her second child. Having undergone a C-section in her first pregnancy, she was aware of the potential risks associated with her delivery. Concerned about her health and the safety of her baby, she decided to consult a gynecologist. After performing an ultrasound scan and several medical tests, the doctor determined that attempting a vaginal delivery could lead to serious complications. To ensure a safe childbirth, the doctor strongly recommended another C-section. However, the cost of the procedure was beyond her family’s financial capacity.
Nazish lived in a small rented house with her husband and their young child. Her husband worked as a daily wage laborer and earned only PKR 25,000 per month. His modest income was barely enough to cover the family's daily expenses, including house rent, food, and utility bills. With another child on the way, the financial strain on the family had already increased, and affording the cost of a C-section seemed impossible. As her due date approached, Nazish and her husband grew increasingly anxious, unsure of how they would manage to pay for the necessary medical care. In their search for help, they learned about Transparent Hands and reached out for assistance.
On January 27, 2025, Nazish was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi, where Dr. Rabia performed a successful C-section. Nazish delivered a baby boy. The C-section ensured both mother and baby’s safety, bringing immense relief to the family. After receiving post-operative care, Nazish was discharged in satisfactory condition on January 29, 2025.
Nazish expressed her heartfelt gratitude by saying:
"I was deeply worried about my delivery. But thanks to your support, my baby and I are safe. Your support has lifted a huge burden off our shoulders, and I can now embrace motherhood without fear. I will always be thankful for this generosity."
Now, Nazish is recovering well and enjoying the precious moments with her newborn. Her family is relieved and deeply thankful for your kindness and generosity that made this C-section possible.
