One-and-a-half-year-old Sawera, a resident of Rahim Yar Khan, suffers from shortness of breath, cyanosis, and vomiting. She is also unable to gain weight. Her parents learned about her condition when she was one year old. They took her to the local hospital. After the diagnostic tests and evaluation, she was diagnosed with complex heart defects known as Dextrocardia, Univentricular Heart, Atrial Situs, Ambiguous, Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), and Pulmonary Stenosis. The cardiac surgeon advised her to undergo Open-Heart Surgery with CP Shunt after Angiography. 

Sawera lives with her parents and three siblings in a rented house. His father is the sole earner in the family. He is a gardener and earns just PKR 15,000 per month. Due to financial constraints, her father cannot bear the expense of the Open-Heart Surgery. Her father is extremely fearful for his daughter’s future. He said in distress:
