Malaika is Happy After Delivering a Baby Girl
Malaika Bibi's Story
Malaika, a 21-year-old woman from Karachi, was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her third child. Having already undergone two C-sections, she knew that her delivery would require extra care. Malaika visited a doctor, who after a thorough examination recommended an elective C-section to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. The risks of natural delivery after two previous surgeries were too high, which is why her doctor advised that this procedure would be the safest option.
However, the surgical cost was overwhelming for Malaika’s family. Malaika lives in a modest house with a joint family of seven members. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and earns just PKR 32000 per month. With this meager monthly income, he hardly managed the household expenses. They had no savings at all to pay for Malaika’s much-needed surgery. During this dark time, Malaika contacted Transparent Hands and asked us for help. Recognizing the gravity of her situation, we swiftly registered her case.
The day of hope arrived and Malaika was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. The surgery took place on 06-07-2024. Dr. Farkhanda Saeed performed her C-section surgery. The procedure was performed successfully, and she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Malaika was hospitalized for three days and received post-operative care. On 08-07-2024, she recovered and was discharged in satisfactory condition.
Malaika was happy and she described her emotions as follows:
“I am so grateful for the donors who helped me and my family. Without your help, I don’t know what we would have done. I was extremely worried for my baby’s safety. You saved us when we had no one else to turn to. I will always remember this kindness!”
Today, Malaika is recovering well and enjoying her time with her newborn. She is immensely grateful for the support that made this joyful moment possible. Malaika and her family are grateful to you for giving her family the gift of a safe and healthy birth.
