Muhammad Sanan's Story

Seven-year-old Muhammad Sanan, a resident of Mardan, was born with a congenital heart defect. When his parents noticed his symptoms, they took him to the doctor. Upon consultation, the doctor diagnosed him with Transposition of Great Arteries and Ventricular Septal Defect. The doctor advised an Open-Heart Surgery for CP shunt placement. He was sent to Ittefaq Hospital to get his procedure done by Dr. Muhammad Asim Khan on 13-01-2022. He was kept in the hospital for five days and discharged in satisfactory condition. This surgery was done in collaboration with Pakistan’s Children’s Heart Foundation. Sanan now looks forward to a bright future.
