Ali Raza's Story

Ali Raza, a 32-year-old resident of Narowal, was experiencing discomfort and pain in his left breast tissue. It made it increasingly difficult for him to carry out daily activities without embarrassment or discomfort. The condition also affected his self-esteem, causing social anxiety and a constant fear of judgment from others. Eventually, Ali decided to consult a doctor. After conducting lab investigations and an ultrasound scan, the doctor diagnosed him with Gynecomastia. To relieve his pain and restore his physical and emotional well-being, the doctor recommended a left-sided mastectomy. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond his reach.

Ali lived in a small rented house with his wife and two young children, both of whom attend school. As the only earning member of the family, he worked as a daily wage laborer and earned just PKR 30,000 per month. This modest income barely covered their basic living expenses, leaving nothing for this treatment. On January 14, 2025, Ali was admitted to Evercare Hospital, Lahore. Dr. Ahmed Fawad successfully performed the left-sided mastectomy. He received proper post-operative care and was discharged in stable condition on January 16, 2025.
