You Saved Muhammad Majid’s Life
Muhammad Majid's Story
Muhammad Majid, a 1-year-old child from Mianwali, was experiencing breathlessness and slow physical growth since birth. Concerned about their son’s health, his parents consulted a doctor. After a series of diagnostic tests, he was diagnosed with TOF (Tetralogy of Fallot). TOF is a congenital cardiac condition that includes four cardiac defects. The only viable solution for Muhammad Majid was to undergo Open-Heart Surgery for total correction.
Majid belongs to a small town in Mianwali which lacks sufficient health facilities. In addition, Majid’s family could not pay for their son’s life-saving surgery. With hope in their heart, they contacted Transparent Hands. We understood the urgency of the situation and registered his case.
With our support, Majid was admitted to the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital. On 30-04-2024, his open-heart surgery for total correction was performed by Dr. Faiz Rasool. Majid was hospitalized for three days and his TOF was successfully corrected.
During his stay, he received critical care, with all necessary medications and tests. After 3 days, he was discharged from the hospital in a healthy condition, reflecting the successful outcome of his treatment.
Majid’s family expressed their happiness as follows:
“We are deeply grateful to Transparent Hands, Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation, and all the generous donors who saved Majid’s life. We are happy that our son can now thrive in life without any hurdles.”
His TOF surgery couldn’t have been successful without the endless support of our donors. He can now gain a healthy weight as his appetite has improved. We are thankful to all the generous donors who helped Majid to embark on a journey toward becoming a vibrant and active child.
Majid is now able to face the world with courage and enthusiasm. Your contributions have had a profound and lasting impact on his life.
