Zarka, a 30-year-old woman from Karachi, faced a significant challenge in her life. Pregnant with her second child, she was eagerly awaiting her baby’s arrival. Zarka had her first child delivered via C-section surgery. To avoid potential complications and risks to her child’s health, her doctor recommended another C-section procedure. Zarka was excited and nervous simultaneously, as the cost of the surgery was overwhelming for her family.

However, she desperately needed surgery to bring her child safely into the world. Her family faces financial hardships as her husband is the only breadwinner in the family and makes just PKR 15000. With this insufficient monthly income, covering the household expenses and the surgery’s cost was challenging for them.

With hope in her heart, Zarka contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.

On 18th May 2024, Zarka was admitted to Murshid Hospital Karachi. Dr. Samreen, along with the medical team, performed Zarka’s C-section surgery. The procedure was a remarkable success and she delivered a beautiful baby girl.

Zarka was overwhelmed with happiness when she held her child in her arms for the first time. During her two-day stay in the hospital Zarka remained under the close observation of expert doctors and received essential medications and care.

With tears of gratitude in her eyes, Zarka said:

“I can’t believe that I am holding my child in my arms. This surgery is nothing short of a miracle for me. Your generosity eased our hardships as we were anxious due to the medical bills. I am thankful to you.”
