1-TRANSPARENT HANDS TRUST

Amid unprecedented inflation, the healthcare sector in Pakistan is struggling to keep itself upright. As government institutes struggle to pay staff wages, the trickle-down effect negatively impacts the poor who are unable to get access to affordable healthcare. To tackle the issue, an initiative by siblings Kashif and Rameeza Mueen has proved to be a beacon of light for the impoverished. 

Transparent Hands is an organization, established in 2014 that bridges the gap between the financially challenged people of Pakistan and quality healthcare. Since its inception, the nonprofit has worked with thousands of people and provided them with lifesaving medical care including, full treatments, surgeries, and chemotherapy, and serviced the population of remote areas with free medical camps. 

2.Chhipa Welfare Association

Chhipa Welfare Association is one of the leading welfare organizations in Pakistan that started with humble beginnings. With limited resources and a handful of ambulance vehicles, Ramzan Chhipa laid the foundation of what would become one of the largest NGOs in the country.

CWA now has a wide number of programs developed to facilitate the various demands of the impoverished Pakistani population. Some of their most notable endeavors include Chhipa Dastarkhwan which serves over 50,000 meals a day, Chhipa Jhoola, an initiative aimed at tackling infanticide, Chhipa Home for Special Children, where special needs children are looked after and the needy and provided with treatment, etc.

3.Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital

Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre is perhaps the biggest cancer treatment and research institute in Pakistan. A passion project of cricket legend Imran Khan, the Trust has a presence in over 50 cities in Pakistan, and along with cancer treatment, it is now also one of the leading institutes for pathology testing in the country.

Since its inception, SKMCH&RC has financially facilitated about 75% of its patients and provided them with state-of-the-art medical care. 

4.Aurat Foundation

Established in 1986, Aurat Foundation is a pioneering organization working towards the empowerment of women in Pakistan. Aurat Foundation has its head office in Islamabad, with 5 regional offices and 25 field offices that employ about 700 people. The organization works on multiple levels to promote policy and legislation changes along with developing programs that empower women economically and politically. 

5.Shahid Afridi Foundation

Founded in 2014 by well-known cricketer Shahid Afridi, the Shahid Afridi Foundation has been doing remarkable work in Pakistan and building a strong online presence for it. The purpose of the institute is to reach out to underserved communities and provide them with relief and necessities in the form of education and healthcare. 

SAF is operational all over Pakistan and has worked on world peace issues, championed humanitarian aid, and sports diplomacy and built a network of schools, and hospitals, and initiated water projects.

6.Ansar Burney Trust International:

ABTI is an organization that has stemmed from first-hand experience of violation of human rights. Mr. Ansar Burney Chairman of ABTI when experienced unlawful treatment vowed to protect the rights of the imprisoned. 

ABTI was founded in 1980 and has since played an instrumental role in creating awareness for human rights and protection, in Pakistan and internationally. The organization prides itself on being free from the taint of any political affiliation and has worked on children’s rights, domestic violence issues, and prisoner’s rights and has freed more than 900K people from wrongful confinement and mental institutes all over the world.

7.Darul Sukun

Darul Sakun translates to an abode of rest, and that is what the organization provides to children with special needs. Based in Sindh, the home has five care centers that take house and care of individuals with various disabilities. The organization aims to provide differently abled children with a society that gives priority status in education, food, shelter, healthcare, and employment so they can live a dignified life.

Children with disabilities are perhaps the most vulnerable individuals in Pakistan. Since its inception, Darul Sakun has changed the lives of thousands of differently-abled children.

8.Minhaj Welfare Foundation

An initiative launched by Dr. Muhammed Tahir ul Qadri in 1989, is the phenomenon that we now know as the Minhaj Welfare Foundation. The organization is involved in working at the grassroots level on numerous causes affecting vulnerable communities all over the world. It works to provide the marginalized with basic human rights, education, and healthcare and equips them to get back on their feet and progress socio-economically.

9.Aga Khan Foundation

Established in 1967, by His Highness the Aga Khan, the Aga Khan Foundation has been a pioneering institute in the works of welfare organizations in Pakistan. The organization works towards addressing some of the most crucial and pressing concerns of society, regardless of geography. 

Its works mainly pertain to Asia and Africa. A subsidiary of Aga Khan Development Network, it is involved in mitigating challenges faced by the most marginalized and poor communities by bringing together financial, technical, and human resources. Its initiatives include development in health, education, food security, climate resilience, etc.

10.Baitulmaal

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Baitulmaal is dedicated to providing life-sustaining, life-saving, and life-enriching help to the most impoverished populations not only in Pakistan but all over the world. The key areas in which the organization works are sustainable development that focuses on better access to healthcare, education, infrastructure development, and economic empowerment, emergency relief for those affected by emergencies, support for children and orphans, Islamic giving, and women empowerment through advocacy, microfinance, skills training and more.

11.Edhi Foundation

Edhi Foundation was launched in 1951 by Abdul Sattar Edhi, also known as The Angel of Mercy The Richest Poor Man. One may wonder what work Edhi Sahab has done to earn such a title and the answer can be seen in the hundreds and thousands of lives he has changed. 

Edhi Sahab was the embodiment of compassion and humanity, which is reflected in his work. Edhi Foundation began in 1951 as he opened a free dispensary to help the poor. Fast forward to now, the organization now has multiple programs that include ambulance service, education service, children’s service, home, and orphanage centers, food banks, and much more. 

12.Saylani Welfare Trust

A welfare organization, whose work is rooted in compassion and servitude to others is the Saylani Welfare Trust. SWT provides over 300,000 people assistance in various forms daily. It has a network of 631 branches that facilitate people regularly. 

Some of the initiatives that SWT has taken are bettering access to healthcare, education, food, clean water, and vocational training for the impoverished. It is also actively involved in providing humanitarian aid to those affected by emergencies.

    With due regard I want to bring this in your kind Notice that Mr. Hayat Khan from karachi age 48 years and married with no kids was working as a helper on contract basis in BSF company five years ago but unfortunately he had injured by iron drum on his leg got paralyzed on bed since five years, he was admitted in the hospital and his treatment was continue in the hospital than doctor has suggested to cut the leg due to his sugar disease, he belongs to very poor family. He needs treatment and medicines.
