Free Medical Camp in Narowal sponsored by Reem Rice Mills (Pvt) Ltd.

Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp in Narowal with the collaboration of Reem Rice Mills (Pvt) Ltd. The main aim of the camp was to provide free checkups and medicines to the people working in a mill and living in the surrounding area of Narowal – Muridke Road.

There was a total of 143 patients who needed medical treatment out of which, 3 were identified for the surgeries; 1 adult case of Inguinal Hernia, 2 patients with piles, they were advised workup for required surgery and pre-registered.  All patients were checked, many of them were experiencing heartburn, fever, sore throat, high blood pressure, high sugar level, respiratory infections, and many other diseases. They were given free medicines, including painkillers, antibiotics, antihypertensives, and medicines for diabetes.

A blood sugar checkup facility was also provided to the patients for free with the collaboration of Reem Rice Mills (Pvt) Ltd. Many old patients, who were suffering from these ailments, were given medicines and advised for a healthier lifestyle.

The camp was successfully held with a hope that it’d create a long lasting impact on the lives of people living in rural areas.
