Transparent Hands recently held a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to make quality healthcare available to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held on 23rd February 2024 at Mohalla Murtaza Abad Basti Aminpura, Raiwind, Lahore.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests

A total of 329 deserving patients received free consultations with expert doctors. Free medicines, diabetes, uric acid tests, hepatitis B & C screenings, cholesterol, and blood pressure checkups were also provided free of charge.

Diseases and Treatments

Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from fever, cough, flu, sore throat, chest congestion, seasonal allergies, earache, toothache, body/joint pain, kidney pain, migraine, hepatitis, high BP, diabetes, uric acid, and skin rashes. 

Preventive Healthcare Session

One of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management and prevention of scabies.

Impact

The free medical camp in Raiwind had a profound impact on the lives of 329 deserving patients and their families. It provided them with much-needed medical consultations, a wide range of diagnostic services, and valuable preventive healthcare guidance. By offering these services at no cost, the camp eased the financial burden on these families and gave them access to essential healthcare that would have otherwise been unaffordable.

The medical camp team consisted of 11 members, including one supervisor, three doctors (two males and one female), one lab technician, one staff nurse, two pharmacists, one crew worker, one volunteer, and one photographer.
