We Made Healthcare Accessible to Mothers and Children in Kasur

Transparent Hands organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session for deserving mothers and children at Malik Brothers Dera, Near Church, Sirhali Road, Mustafabad, Lalyani, Kasur. The primary objective of this camp held on March 19, 2025, was to provide essential medical support and nutritional guidance to the underprivileged community of Kasur.

Services Provided

A total of 393 deserving patients received free consultations from our specialists, including a gynecologist, a child specialist, and a nutritionist. Along with gynecological check-ups, nutritional assessments, and consultations, the patients were provided with free medicines and received various medical services including:

•     Nutritional screenings for children
•     BMI calculation
•     Ultrasound scans 
•     Consultations with a pediatrician
•     Gynecological check-ups for women
•     Blood sugar tests
•     Hemoglobin Tests
•     Hepatitis Screenings
•     Blood Pressure check-ups

Preventive Healthcare Session

In addition to the medical services, one of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about the prevention and management of diarrhea.

Impact

This free medical camp had a significant impact on the lives of 393 deserving patients and their families. By providing free consultations, nutritional assessments, medicines, and diagnostic tests, we addressed essential healthcare needs in the community. This camp was also aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 3.

In Kasur, numerous women received quality healthcare services including prenatal care, which will help with improving maternal health outcomes.
