The Five Daily Prayers

Salah or Namaz is the second pillar of Islam and the most important ritual after Shahadah. Muslims must pray five times from dawn until night. Each prayer must be completed within a specific time. Prayer times change daily with the sun's movement. That is why it is important for believers to know updated Salah times to fulfill this important duty.

And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.

Surah An-Nisa 4:103

When Does Each Prayer Fall?

The timing of all five prayers is tied to visible cues in a day rather than fixed clock timings. Fajr begins with true dawn. Dhuhr begins when the sun passes its highest point. Asr depends on the length of an object's shadow, while Maghrib begins with sunset. Isha begins when twilight has faded.

Let Your Salah Be Followed by Sadaqah

Many believers like to give Sadaqah after Jummah or Fajr prayers. This is a great habit to develop, and even a small donation can make a deep impact. Give your daily or weekly Sadaqah to Transparent Hands to help restore the lives of underprivileged patients.
