Transparent Hands has been bridging the gaps in healthcare and providing free quality healthcare services to underprivileged patients for years. As the residents of Jhang face many challenges in accessing treatments, we are going to organize a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session there.

Challenges for the Needy in Jhang

Residents of Jhang often face hurdles in accessing quality healthcare services. The local hospitals are often overburdened, and the private ones are expensive and beyond the reach of the needy patients. This lack of accessibility means that minor medical issues can transform into potentially complicated ones.

The commonly reported diseases in Jhang include acute respiratory infections as well as many communicable and non-communicable diseases.

Solution:
Transparent Hands will organize a free healthcare camp to address the healthcare challenges in Jhang. Our qualified medical team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, lab technologists, and volunteers will offer the following free healthcare services.

· Blood Pressure Check-Ups
· Uric Acid Tests
· Cholesterol Tests
· Hepatitis B & C Screenings
· BSR (Blood Sugar) Tests
· Ultrasound Scans
· Preventive Healthcare Session
· Deserving Surgical/Medical procedure cases will be registered

Preventive Healthcare Session:

To educate the community regarding various aspects of preventing and managing one of the common diseases, our doctors will deliver a preventive healthcare session. This will empower underprivileged patients to take care of their health and improve their quality of life.

Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of Packages Foundation, recently organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session to provide quality healthcare to impoverished patients. The free medical camp was held on 22nd August 2024 at Bulleh Shah Packaging LTD, Jhang.

Moreover, free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients, ensuring that no one was left behind in accessing quality healthcare due to financial constraints.

Preventive Healthcare Session

To educate the attendees, our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session at the free medical camp. The session focused on the prevention and management of Dehydration. It is a common issue that increases the loss of fluids from the body and causes dizziness and fatigue in summer.

Impact

The free medical camp positively impacted the lives of  283 deserving patients and their families. There are a limited number of hospitals in Jhang, therefore many needy patients await essential treatments. We addressed the health needs of low-income communities by providing free consultations, diagnostic tests, as well as medicines.

Moreover, the residents were given the knowledge to improve their health by maintaining adequate levels of water and salts in their bodies. This initiative not only improved the quality of life of underprivileged people in Jhang but also empowered them to maintain long-term wellness.

Medical Camp Team

The medical camp team consisted of 14 members, including one camp manager, four doctors (two male and two female), one lab technician, one pharmacist, two patient registrars, three volunteers, one staff nurse, and one photographer.
