Transparent Hands has changed many lives by providing free preventive healthcare to a large number of deserving individuals across Pakistan. This time, we are going to arrange a free medical camp in Chakwal to help underprivileged communities. This camp will uplift low-income and vulnerable communities who struggle to get timely medical care. They will get free consultations, lab tests, ultrasound scans as well as medications.

Challenges

In Chakwal, the key health challenges include acute upper respiratory tract infections, diarrhea, fever, scabies, peptic ulcer disease, diarrhea, and dysentery.

Many residents of Chakwal cannot afford regular healthcare check-ups, and they travel long distances for medical care. Moreover, the region lacks in public sector hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals. They can’t get a timely diagnosis of their health issues, which further deteriorates their health conditions.

Solution

To address these challenges in the healthcare sector faced by the needy people of Chakwal, we are going to organize a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session. This free camp will play a pivotal role in catering to the health needs of the diverse community. The distribution of free medicines, in addition to the diagnostic tests and consultations, will make sure that no one will be left behind in accessing quality healthcare.

Preventive Healthcare Session

Aside from medical services, a preventive healthcare session will be conducted to provide attendees with valuable information to tackle one of the common illnesses. Through this camp, Transparent Hands aims to create a healthier future for the people of Chakwal by improving access to healthcare and promoting health education.


Transparent Hands, with the sponsorship of Packages Foundation, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Bulleh Shah Packaging Centre, Dhudial, District Chakwal. The primary objective of this camp held on 22nd October 2024, was to provide quality healthcare to the underserved community of Chakwal.

Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:

A total of 351 deserving patients received free consultations from our expert doctors. Along with consultations, the patients were provided with free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests including:

  •         Hepatitis B and C screenings
  •         Diabetes tests
  •         Uric acid tests
  •         Cholesterol tests
  •         BSR
  •         Ultrasound scans

At the free medical camp in Chakwal, patients received consultations for a variety of diseases, including but not limited to:

Preventive Healthcare Session

In addition to the medical services, our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about the prevention and management of common cold and flu. The doctors discussed various aspects of the disease.

Impact

This free medical camp made a substantial impact on the lives of 351 deserving patients and their families. In Chakwal, many patients who couldn’t afford treatments benefitted through this camp. By providing free consultations, medicines, and diagnostic tests, we addressed the healthcare needs of needy patients.

Moreover, a preventive healthcare session provided individuals with the knowledge to manage one of the common health issues in Chakwal. It empowered the residents to adopt precautionary measures and improve their health outcomes. Overall, this medical camp played a pivotal role in improving the health and well-being of the underprivileged communities of Chakwal.

The medical camp team consisted of 15 members, including 1 supervisors, 4  doctors (two males and two females), 1 lab technicians, 1 pharmacists, 5 patient registrars & Crew members, 1 Staff Nurse, 1 photographer, and 1 Volunteer.
