Transparent Hands is organizing a free medical camp in Lasbela, Balochistan, to provide essential healthcare services to underserved communities that have limited access to medical facilities. Located in the southern part of Balochistan, Lasbela is known for its rich cultural heritage and economic significance. Despite its importance, many families living in low-income communities struggle with accessing timely healthcare. Through this free medical camp, Transparent Hands aims to bring healthcare directly to those who need it most by providing consultations, diagnostic screenings, medicines, and preventive health education.
Challenges
Access to quality healthcare is a major challenge for many communities across Lasbela. The shortage of healthcare facilities in underprivileged areas, combined with financial hardships, prevents individuals from receiving proper medical care.
Many families depend on daily wages earned through labor, farming, fishing, and small-scale businesses. For these households, spending money on medical treatment is often difficult when basic necessities such as food, education, and household expenses take priority.
In addition, preventable and manageable health conditions frequently go undetected due to a lack of routine screenings and healthcare awareness.
