Zakat is Islam’s third pillar and an act of worship. Zakat can spiritually cleanse impurities from our wealth while ensuring a more even distribution of wealth and resources.
Zakat is mandatory for adult Muslims who are sane and possess wealth equal to or greater than the Nisab.

Zakat is a 2.5% donation of a person’s total wealth. It must be given to eligible Muslims.

Firstly, you will need to determine your Zakat obligations. If you possess wealth greater than the minimum Nisab, you must pay Zakat as an annual obligation. Zakat applies to the following prominent Types of Wealth::
