Transparent Hands is going to organize a free medical camp in Okara to deliver essential healthcare services to underprivileged communities. Known for its agricultural significance, Okara is a district located in Punjab. Despite its economic contributions, many residents living in low-income areas lack access to reliable and affordable medical care. Our upcoming medical camp aims to ease this burden by providing free consultations, diagnostic tests, medicines, and ultrasound scans.
Challenges
The healthcare system in Okara faces several challenges. Many public hospitals are overburdened, while others often lack basic facilities and medical staff.
There has been an alarming number of diarrhea, typhoid, malaria, and gastroenteritis cases in Okara. These issues make preventive care and early diagnosis more important than ever.

Transparent Hands, with the support of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Safoun, Association for Gender Awareness and Human Empowerment (AGAHE) and other Donors, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Union Council Attari, District Okara. The primary objective of this camp, held on May 28, 2025, was to provide essential healthcare services to needy patients in Okara.
Free Consultations, Medicines, and Diagnostic Tests:
A total of 227 deserving patients received free consultations from expert doctors. Along with medical consultations, the patients were provided with free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests, including:
- Diabetes tests
- Uric acid tests
- Hepatitis B and C screenings
- Cholesterol tests
- Blood pressure checkups

Preventive Healthcare Session
In addition to the medical services, one of our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session to educate the attendees about Heat Stroke.
Impact
This free medical camp had a valuable impact on the lives of 227 deserving patients and their families. Many patients who attended the camp received timely and professional healthcare services. The camp provided thorough check-ups, guidance, and essential treatments, which helped improve the overall well-being of the attendees. At the camp, we also raised awareness about heat stroke, a common health issue nowadays.
