American families gather to celebrate Thanksgiving by giving thanks for the blessings in their lives and sharing meals. It is also an occasion to give back to help those who belong to underprivileged communities.

We celebrate Thanksgiving in the US on the fourth Thursday of November. The exact date varies from year to year, but it’s between November 23 and November 29. This year, Thanksgiving will be celebrated on November 27, 2025.

Many people also use this opportunity to reduce their taxes by donating to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations at the end of the year. You can get tax exemption based on the amount you donate for Thanksgiving.
