Transparent Hands and Rafhan Maize Products recently joined hands to arrange a free two-day medical camp and preventive healthcare session to bring quality healthcare to underprivileged patients. The free medical camp was held at City Foundation Public School, Khuda ki Basit, SITE Area, KOTRI, Sindh, on June 25 and 26, 2022.
Free consultations and diagnostic tests
A total of 667 patients belonging to underprivileged communities received free consultations, out of which 598 were women and children. Medicines, diabetes tests, ultrasound scans, and blood pressure check-ups were also provided free of charge. This free medical camp was organized and managed by Transparent Hands, and Rafhan Maize Products joined hands with the organization under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program.
Preventive healthcare session on air pollution
Our expert doctors held a preventive healthcare session for the attendees at the medical camp. The session focused on air pollution, the diseases and allergies it can cause, and ways to avoid it.
Diseases and treatments
Most of the patients who sought consultation were suffering from allergies, fever, diabetes, pains, hypertension, gastric problems, flu, and weakness. Free medicines were given to a large number of deserving patients.
The free medical camp in Kotri made a difference in the lives of 667 patients and their families. This year, Transparent Hands aims to arrange 100 free medical camps across Pakistan. Sponsors like Rafhan Maize Products and thousands of donors are supporting Transparent Hands’ mission to bring quality health care to even more impoverished and remote areas of Pakistan.
Medical camp team
The medical camp team consisted of 25 members, including a supervisor, four doctors (one male and three females), a sonologist, two nurses, three pharmacists, four patient registrars, a photographer, and nine crew workers.
